Mac screen recorder reviews
DLS reader and FreeMacBlog webmaster Brian has put up a nice summary of the the available screen recording options for the Mac (at least the affordable ones). The list is a good rundown that features some old favorites as well as some new players. His pick of the litter is iShowU. Actually, it seems, surprisingly, to be the only real contender. None of the other options offer audio and video recording for Intel and PPC macs. The venerable Snapz Pro X demo wouldn't even launch on his MacBook.

SnapzProX works on my Macbook Pro. It records video and screenshots, but not sound. However, I've been looking for a replacement since they're obviously too lazy to come out with a universal version. It's the only program left slowing down my laptop. So thanks for the list!

Ambrosia is working on updating Snapz Pro to be intel native--it's their best-selling piece of software, of course they're going to make it intel native--it sounds like it'll come out quite soon: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=106031
