DiggFiltr - create customized Digg feeds

DiggFiltrI love Digg. Oops, am I allowed to say that? I'm sure it's okay. Anyway, I love Digg, but I find it sort of really overwhelming. I don't mind admitting that some of the best downloads I write about here come from social news sites like Digg, Netscape, Delicious, etc. But it's really hard to keep up with the information that flows from these sites - it's like standing in the line of fire of a firehose, and trying to take little sips.

In Digg's case, someone has come up with a very elegant solution. DiggFiltr allows you to choose a category or multiple categories from Digg, as well as some search terms, and build an RSS feed that will update with items that satisfy your criteria. Simply subscribe to the generated feed in your favorite news reader, and you'll enjoy a steady supply of very targeted Digg submissions. I just hope they make something similar for all the other social news sites I follow.
