Ex-Microsoftie Robert Scoble points us to this list of 150 "cool Microsoft downloads". While some people might take issue with a few (okay, more than a few) of the selections on this list, it's still a pretty impressive list. Consider that all of this software is generated from somewhere within the bowels of that huge company, often with very little fanfare or visibility. What's your favorite little-known application from this list? Which ones don't deserve to be on the list?
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

The Powertoys from Microsoft are a very nice treat to any Windows user and I don't understand why the TweakUI, Alt-Tab Replacement, Power Calculator and Virtual Desktop Manager weren't added to the OS in the first place. Anyway, I'm glad they are freely available from Microsoft.
