Google has just announced that it has opened up Gmail for Australian users. Normally, Google only allows Gmail sign-ups by invitation only. Australian users just have to visit www.gmail.com and sign up for an account to gain access to the popular email service. Google has decided that they want to broaden the availability of the free 2.7 GB of free email space, and are trying it out in Australia and New Zealand first.[via PCWorld]
