I know this wasn't true when Yahoo! Messenger with Voice first came out, but it looks like they've taken a page from Skype's book and stopped charging for calls to 800 numbers.
I dial into conference calls all the time, and I have much better wi-fi at home than cell coverage, so I love to use Y! IM to make the call.
This morning, I noticed a line at the bottom telling me there was no charge.
Anyone know if this was added to the new version that just released?

Yahoo lets you make toll calls for free all the time...
They still charge for regular numbers. :(

I am curious as to why you use Yahoo IM for calls instead of Skype. We use Skype and I am not familiar with Yahoo IM, but I figured that anyone wanting to make VoIP calls for free would use Skype. Is there a particular reason in your case? Please share. I might be missing out!

Jaymoon - In the first release of Messenger with Voice, all outgoing calls where charged to your Y! Voice account.
That's why I noticed this yesterday - it was something I hadn't seen before.

I live on Yahoo! - have done for years, so I have a number of people that I IM with in Y! Messenger.
With the addition of VoIP, I don't need any other IM client (especially now I can hook MSN Contacts into Y! IM).
