Microsoft's World Cup scoreboard

I'll admit, I'm pretty sports agnostic, but Microsoft apparently isn't: It's released Soccer Scoreboard for World Cup 2006, a little Windows app that will show you the score of the current match, a schedule of upcoming matches, and the current standings. You can also add a custom RSS feed to be shown in a ticker at the bottom, and adjust the transparency level. Before you install the Soccer (Football, whatever) Scoreboard you'll have to jump through Microsoft's Windows validation hoops, but otherwise the app is free.[Via jkOnTheRun]

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

I hope that's not the final result of the match earlier today, because
if it is I'm going to be VERY F***ING upset at you spoiling the
results for all of us who are tivoing the game to watch after work.

I liked Google's live score (http://www.google.com/ig) and when I am working during a world cup match, I check it afetr every 10-15 minutes. I feel that it is very compact and Google team has done a superb job.

You all know it.
While Micrsoft is still stuck on "Genuine Advantage" downloadable software that makes you prove your non-pirateness, Google offers a simple, open soccer tracker.
WGA truly sucks.

Install it with 'English (United States)' and it'll install as 'Soccer Scoreboard'.
Install it with 'English (United Kingdom)' and it'll install as 'Football Scoreboard'.
That keeps everyone happy.
