Microsoft announces Internet Explorer 7+
As I was saying the other day: More versions of everything! Over at IEBlog Microsoft's Tony Schreiner has announced that the version of Internet Explorer that will ship with Windows Vista will be called Internet Explorer 7+. Why plus? Well, while the XP and Vista versions of IE7 will have most of the same features, Vista's version will have a few extras like "Protected Mode, Parental Controls, and improved Network Diagnostics," features that the IE team that rely on components of Vista that aren't practical to backport to XP. The "7+" nomenclature is just to eliminate confusion when describing what version of IE you're talking about. Seems fairly rational to me.

More reasons to stick with Firefox, since upgrading to Vista makes no sense for me.
