Phosphor - Daily Time Waster

I'm always amazed at the range of different time-wasters we've been able to dredge up, and that makes finding something unique harder and harder. But here's something I don't think we've had before; a first-person 3D shooter, in your browser. Yes, you read that right. Made by Rasterwerks, Phosphor is a multi-player 3D shooter that runs in your browser, thanks to the Macromedia Shockwave browser plug-in.

The game is currently in beta, but looks pretty darn impressive when you get it up and running. Understandably, it takes significantly longer than most browser-based games to load, but considering what it is, it's not an unreasonable amount of time.

Obviously, as with any beta software you may run into issues. But honestly, isn't it worth it to be able to frag at work - not that we'd suggest or condone that sort of behavior - but isn't it?
