Download videos from Google, YouTube with KeepVid

I've seen a number of sites that let you directly download videos from sites like Google and YouTube, but KeepVid beats the rest with its nice design, easy-to-remember URL, and its ability to download not only from the big guys but also with about three dozen other video sites like iFilm, Vimeo, Putfile, Revver, and MySpace. It's also got a handy FAQ that offers some help in dealing with those pesky FLV files and streaming (mms://) videos.

What I wonder is why people haven't realised that the Google Videos you download via the "download button" are nothing but textfiles with a url to an avi file which anything can play....

how do you download DailyMotion clips via keepvid.com?

For YouTube vids, keepvid.com is awesome. clean, quick and easy. but how do you download dailymotion flvs?

when I copy and paste the dailymotion URL into the keepvid page (yes, and select Dailymotion instead of YouTube from the dropdown menu on the right) and click 'Download', I get the following message: 'To download the dailymotion file, COPY and PASTE the 'download' link in a NEW tab/window. Simply clicking it will not work. =)'

what does this mean? there is no download link displayed anywhere on the page. I tried opening keepvid.com in another tab and window and re-trying the dailymotion URL but it comes back with the same message.
any help much appreciated.
also, are there any other sites like keepvid.com, i.e. an online site (as opposed to downloadable programs) where you can download clips from sites like YouTube, iFilm etc.
bestube.com and clipnabber.com are mentioned above.
any others?

You can search and download youtube videos from

you can watch video online or download to your pc. they offer flv converter too. so u will be able to convert your downloaded file into your favorite format like mpeg, 3gp,ipod, avi etc.
They have good search functions and the best part is that you can embed videos from youtube with their unbranted player!! That way your visitors dont go away from your site! i hope u will like their service.

In addition it allows you to add Download links with videos you embed online with a single line of code and no javascript which allows use of the links on MySpace and other sites that do not allow javascript.

Download videos from popular video sharing sites like youtube.com,
blip.tv, break.com, google video, ifilm.com, spike.com etc. Simply
copy the video url and paste it to the video url box at vidmaza.com
and click to download.Also vidmaza.com try to find different video

Civiballs is a beautiful, soothing physics puzzle Time Waster

I have an absolute weakness for physics games, and while Civiballs isn't the strongest physics-based game, what it lacks in the physics department it makes up for a few times over in style and fun.

In Civiballs, you are presented with a few colored balls, and your goal is to get those balls into the same-colored urn on the level. The "civi" part of Civiballs is that there are 3 sets of levels to play, each representing a different civilization. While the civilization doesn't affect gameplay, the artwork for each level is beautifully themed to it's appropriate era.

To play the game, you are given only one tool - a sword with which to cut the chains that are holding the balls. The puzzle part of the game is in figuring out what order, and with what timing to cut each chain. Do it right, and all the right balls end up in the right urns, with no stray balls entering an urn (a no-no). Do it wrong, and you get to start over again.

Civiballs is not terribly deep on gameplay; the entire game can be completed in about 15 minutes. But if you enjoy this type of game, it will be a very enjoyable 15 minutes.
