Grisoft debuts free AVG antivirus for Linux

"With its growing popularity, it is only a matter of time before the Linux operating system becomes more widely targeted by virus and malware writers." That's how the press release from Grisoft announcing AVG Free for Linux starts. While perhaps a bit premature, it's free and probably welcome protection for the most paranoid sysadmins.
