Gollum: An alternative interface to Wikipedia
Harald Hanek thought Wikipedia's interface was too complex and confusing, so he created Gollum, the Wikipedia Browser. Gollum is an open-source, AJAXy web app that strips away all the cruft and minimizes Wikipedia to the bare essentials: a toolbar, a search bar, and the article. Gollum also makes some tweaks to article presentation, such as bigger headings and moving the category list to the top of the page. There's also a bookmark facility for keeping track of important pages, a "Recommend this Article" button to send e-mail links to articles, and a big Print button. Though I find its interface pleasantly polished and uncluttered, Gollum Browser's Achilles heel may be its lack of tabs, which I find essential when browsing Wikipedia.[Via Waxy.org]

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...

If Wikipedia is too complex for you then perhaps an encyclopedia is a bit beyond your level.
May I suggest a coloring book?

I saw this on digg yesterday, I found it only made wikipedia worse, to me it was mostly about the lack of tabs (I usually end up looking at alot of aticles when I go to wikipedia), and the way wikipedia looked kinda bothered me. I like the idea, a whole proof of concept thing, but practically, it's useless.

Maybe a similar GreaseMonkey script for Firefox would be nice; but who in their right mind would want to load up yet another browser JUST to use Wikipedia? Might make a nice consolation prize tossed onto a DVD ROM version of Wikipedia...
