Bittorrent and MPAA sharing love?

bittorrentmpaaDante's Inferno has never been colder. In a couple of hours the MPAA, champion of Hollywood and bane of p2p, and Bram Cohen's Bittorrent, scourge of Hollywood and blessing to p2p, will be holding a joint press conference. Check your calendar— April is a looong way from here. This is not a joke. Cinematical is reporting this is for real. Update: The Peer-to-Peer Weblog's Brad Hill has a wrap-up and his thoughts on the Bittorrent/MPAA announcement. He's as non-plussed as I am.
