AvantGo adds RSS feeds to mobile client

AvantGo, the venerable quasi-browser application available for PocketPC, Palm OS, and Symbian PDAs has just released a beta client with RSS feed support.  Along with its traditional content "channel" offerings, you can now setup your AvantGo client to receive RSS feeds from your favorite weblog.  You will need to download a new version of the AvantGo PDA client to take advantage of RSS feeds.

Feeds are setup on your personal AvantGo account, and synchronization can be customized by frequency, link depth, and image inclusion.

While AvantGo was always a decent offline content browser, the number and quality of channels that were available had stagnated over the last few years.  By adding RSS feed capability, AvantGo breathes new life into a classic mobile application.
