Windows Vista Sidebar and Gadgets video

Vista GadgetIt's hard to talk about the new Sidebar in Windows Vista without talking about OS X's Dashboard and Konfabulator, but you've heard it all before so I'll skip it. Anyway, Microsoft's Channel 9 has posted a very long video that shows you everything there is to know about "gadgets," a.k.a. Sidebar widgets. It's 42 minutes long, so not for the faint of heart, but they go over everything from creating gadgets with XAML to the web gadgets that can be integrated into Start.com. The geek factor is off the charts, but I must admit, it looks pretty cool. Also, check out the new(ish) Microsoft Gadgets blog.
