Google hires Gaim lead developer

Google Talk: buddy listSean Egan, lead developer of the open source multi-protocol IM client Gaim, has been hired by Google to work on Google Talk. According to the New Google Blog, Egan says he'll be working on "on making it as easy as possible for other clients to use Google Talk's voice features." Sounds like great news for people who want to use the Google Talk network without using Google Talk itself.
