I've been seeing a lot of web sites like the Flock home page, lately, the kind which seem to hint at something cool going on, somewhere, that we might get to actually see a bit of, sometime. Blogger Roland Tanglao, however, knows what Flock is: it's a new web browser based on Firefox, which integrates drag-and-drop blogging, Flickr photo posting (also drag-and-drop), and bookmarks powered by del.icio.us. I'm hesitant to get excited about this, as it could turn out to be a disaster, but on the off-chance that it's done well, I think it could be fantastic.

I'm one of a hundred beta testers and i got in by asking for an invite when they (roundtwo) announced a "secret new project based on firefox." It's kindof like digg.com and the blogging feature doesn't work for me :(. It is definately not ready to be my main browser yet and has a lot of bugs that said it's allright.

Considering that the 0.2 private beta we shipped not too long ago had about two months of work in it suggests that 0.3 is going to be leaps and bounds better than 0.2. I can personally attest to this -- as we'll be smoothing out *a lot* of the early bugginess and making the blogging feature a whole lot slicker.
Watch for something new from us in October.
