Podcast AV adds images and links to podcasts
There have been hacks for getting images and chapters into podcasts for a while, but none were very easy to use. Podcast AV looks like a great little tool for getting images to sorta sync up with chapters in your podcast, and adding additional links or text... Podcast AV is currently in beta (version 0.8.2), and so the developers are giving it away for free. When it hits 1.0 it will become shareware. The developers are the same folks that brought you Painter's Picker, which I mentioned over a week ago. They do good work over at Old Jewel Software. Even for a beta Podcast AV is a remarkably useful and simple tool. Pretty much anything can be dragged and dropped into your chapters (ok, just text, graphics, or bookmarks). Also, Podcast AV will let you easily add chapters to your podcasts. It supports mp3, wav, and aac (plus some more), but not the m4p files which already have chapters. I hope they fix that, but I think for most of us we'll be adding chapters and content ourselves. Give it a whirl and be sure to report any bugs to Old Jewel, as with .8 they added a bug reporter in the app. Nifty.
