Derek Powazek — whose wife just happens to be flickr's community
manager — is reporting that he recently received two interesting pieces
of mail from flickr. One was a giant print made from a random
assortment of Powazek's flickr pics. The other was an 8x10 flickr photo
book. Of course, similar printed products have been available from
other services for some time, but given flickr's success and the
passion of its members, this could be a huge hit. Can't wait to see this go public!flickr to offer prints?

If you examine his flickr stream, there's an additional company named on the back of the book: Qoop.
A quick check shows that http://qoop.com/ is a newly-launched site that offers printing. Seems that they have an SDK as well. This is a flickr spin off? A new partner? Seems like the SDK would suggest functionality and a community application base.
